Clynelish Distillery was built in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford. A new  Clynelish was built alongside the original in 1967 tripling the output. All year round, our friendly and knowledgeable guides are pleased to welcome you to take you on a tour where you will learn some of the secrets of the ancient craft of distilling.

The Glenmorangie Distillery lies on the A9 half a mile north of Tain, overlooking the shores of the Dornoch Firth. Visitor centre and gift shop with regular tours from 10.30 to 3.30. Pre-booking advisable.

Former Town Jail has been transformed into a retail shop with tartan weaving on the premises and the former jail cells for an exhibition of prison life in days gone by.

Most Northerly of Scotland's Great Houses, home to Lord and Lady Strathnaver. Ancestral home of the Earl and Duke of Sutherland. Includes Museum and Formal Gardens.

BRODIE CASTLE

CAWDOR CASTLE
Nairn, 1.5 hours drive; open May - September.
Classic Scottish style Castle, vast and magnificent grounds. Referred to in Shakespeare's
Macbeth.
Cost: £4.50 per head.

URQUHART CASTLE
Inverness, 1 hours drive, open all year round.
Overlooking Loch Ness 2 miles from Drumnadrochit and the Loch Ness centre. Castle ruins in what must have be one of the most picturesque settings in Scotland, set on a Spit into Loch Ness. The views from the ramparts are tremendous in both the summer and winter.
Cost: 3.00 per head.

INVERNESS CASTLE
Inverness, 45 minutes drive; open Easter- September.
Spectacular Castle on the banks of the River Ness, in the centre of Inverness. With tours daily and a museum to visit. 4 miles from Pringle Woollen Mill.
Cost: £3.00 per head.
